The Franceschi family has deep roots in producing legendary coffees. Beginning with Carmen Franceschi and her husband Efrain establishing what would become Carmen Estate back in 1950, which would soon grow into a hallmark of the global coffee scene. Now, generations removed, the family legacy remains secure at the hands of Carlos Franceschi. After selling the original estate (Carmen Estate still exists, and both Carlos & Jean Paul Langenstein [interestingly, the son-in-law of Ratibor Hartmann] are still involved in its operation), they put their personal focus into cultivating smaller lots of gesha in Volcán, as well as purchasing and processing top neighboring lots. These lots that are fully theirs are sold under the name Franceschi. I guess if everything I touched turned to gold I would try my best to touch everything too.
