Sugar cane (EA) refers to a decaffeination method where EA stands for Ethyl Acetate – a solvent used to extract caffeine from green coffee beans.

"Sugar cane" in this context means that the ethyl acetate is derived from sugar cane (fermented sugar cane), as opposed to synthetically produced ethyl acetate. This makes the method more natural/"green," as the solvent comes from a natural, plant-based source.
